MY EXPERTISE

Leadership
Collaborative work with trade unions, community representatives, religious bodies, and non-governmental organizations to develop feasible, acceptable, and cost-effective health promotion measures for non-communicable diseases.

Skilled project management including budgeting, planning, interpersonal and staff development skills. Project management of non-communicable diseases control programs.

Leading, managing, and coaching undergraduates on evidence-based medicine through in-depth systematic literature reviews and meta-analysis (and modelling) of prevalence, incidence, risk factors and mortality of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Serves as an international consultant on global health research for local and multinational organizations. Led the development of the Nigeria NCDs Data Profile, commissioned by the WHO Nigeria Office and the Federal Ministry of Health, contributing to national planning and policy processes.
Experience working with a Nigerian government agency (the former Power Holding Company of Nigeria), donors, and key stakeholders within the national health sector to translate health policies into actionable guidelines and operational practices.
Contributed to the Policy Environment Score for Kano State, Nigeria, under the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs’ Nigerian Urban Reproductive Initiative.
Conducted landscape mapping and social network analysis of traditional rulers influencing routine immunization uptake in Northern Nigeria.
Expertise in designing research and surveillance protocols, monitoring and evaluating health programmes, analyzing large datasets, and producing high-quality scientific reports.
